  Chalk Talk Winter 2012

Dear parents and friends of gymnasts,

Happy New Year and a warm welcome to new and returning gymnasts! Please be reminded of our inclement weather policy.  We at BCG DO NOT follow Baltimore County Public Schools closings. If you have any doubts regarding classes being held, please call the gym at 410-335-4646 approximately one hour before your scheduled class.  If classes are cancelled, there will be a message stating so.  If our recording does not reflect a cancellation…we are open!

 Please remember:

Just like during a soccer, football or baseball game, spectators are asked to stay off of the field. We ask the same of you here at the gym. All spectators MUST remain in the gym lobby or by the outside observation windows. The last class of the session you are invited in to observe.  Until then, please watch from the designated areas. Also, please enjoy any food or drink OUTSIDE of our lobby. We work hard to keep our gym sparkling clean!

 Last classes: AKA parent observation:

Mark your calendar!  This is the day we invite you into the gym to observe as your children demonstrate the gymnastics skills they have been learning.   Bring your cameras!  Last class dates are on the calendar of events page.

 Fundraiser:

Need a little extra cash to pay off your holiday bills? Wouldn’t it be great to have FREE gas for your vehicle for the next couple of months? That can be a reality! The winter fundraiser is a raffle for a $500 Visa gift card! Tickets have been distributed. The ticket stubs should be returned by Monday, February 20th. The drawing will be Tuesday February 28th.

 NEW POLICY/ Registration information:

There are no formal evaluations during our winter session, however your child’s instructor may recommend he or she change classes. Recommendations will be done in writing on WEEK 9.

There are THREE registrations.

  • The first is drop-in registration, (during normal business hours throughout week 9 of class) for gymnasts remaining in the same class, day and time.

  • The second is pre-registration (during normal business hours throughout week 10 & 11) for current gymnasts that are recommended to change class level, day or time.

  • The third is open registration, for our new students.  See the calendar of events on the back of this newsletter for exact dates.

 What’s happening…

Open Gym every Friday evening from 7:30-9pm ages 5-21. No Saturday classes on February 11th due to our home meet.

As always, if you like us tell others, if you don’t, tell us.

         Cheerfully,

            Ashley (Recreational Director)
